Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver -   View Driver Job Description  

Hillsboro Transport's requirements for qualified drivers are as follows:

 

• Must be at least 26 years of age with a valid and active driver’s license for the state of Ohio with no more than 6 points on record.

• Applicant must pass a criminal background check and the 6 most common registry i.e...Abuse registry, sex offender registry etc.…

• High School diploma or equivalent, ability to read and write. Defensive Driving training and Passenger Assistance training required.

• Current CPR & First Aid certified or willing to become certified.

• Applicant must be a team player, have great customer service skills when dealing with the public and the elderly population.

• Independent contractors must be able to lift and assist without any medical restrictions. This means you must be able to assist clients as needed in and out of company vehicles, not limited to lifting wheelchairs, walkers etc.…

• Hillsboro Transport independent contractors will show documentation of CPR & First Aid, Driver’s License and any other required documents as requested.

• Hillsboro Transport independent contractors will have a 90-day evaluation, with yearly evaluations from date of hire thereafter.

 

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

 

All Hillsboro Transport drivers:                  

 

-are independent contractors

-supply their own vehicle or rent a vehicle for their use as an independent contractor

-pay for their own fuel and insurance

• If you do not have your own vehicle to use, we have a limited number of company vehicles to rent.  If this is an option you want to choose, there is a $30/day rental fee and you are responsible for paying for your own fuel.  Please keep in mind, we have a limited number of vehicles available for this type of use and they are available on a first come, first serve basis.*   Is this an option you want to utilize? 

• You will need a cell phone to use for this position.  Do you have a cell phone to use?

• Do you have a smartphone with a GPS program or a separate GPS to use? 

• Please indicate that you are aware that regardless of where you live -  you know and that you must go to the office in Hillsboro daily to turn in and pick-up required paperwork?
